Class Descriptions
Laverton Swim and Fitness Centre offer the following aerobics classes suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
ZUMBA
This is a High Energy Dance Workout.
Perfect For: Everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.
How It Works: We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.
Benefits: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
HIIT
An effective and simple workout that gets big results. Burning fat by raising your resting metabolism. Combines traditional bodyweight exercises with high intensity interval and Tabata training.
Cycle
A 45 minute bike class for all levels of fitness involving hills, speed training which will definitely elevate your heart rate and make your legs burn. Come along and join the fun, friendly environment in which you’re guaranteed to make new friends!
Boxing Combo
An awesome boxing workout using , punching bags, gloves and mitts, kick bags etc. Great for all levels of fitness.
Circuit / X -Trainer
Incorporating all our resources (inside and out) A mix of all we have on the program and more!
Fitball
Fitball classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It doesn't matter if you're strong and fit, had some injuries or are restricted with your abilities to exercise. Fitball is for everyone!
Yogalates
As the name suggests, these classes combine yoga and Pilates. They are excellent for those looking for both physical and mental benefits!
Aquacise
These classes ensure you get all the benefits of an aerobic workout such as body toning and cardiovascular fitness, while minimising jarring as you are supported by the water. Suitable for everyone as you can work at your own pace.
Young at Heart (YAH)
A great way for the mature members of our community to stay active with other like minded people. YAH AQUA We assure you a great time while you work in the water at your own pace, using a variety of techniques and equipment.
